Greeting and welcome !! This is the official website for Kuching Open Source Community (KOSC). From here you will be able to get to know us better as this page cover from the establishment of KOSC until the contacts detail.
Sometimes in the early February 2006, few friends contacted each other via e-mails and plan to establish a Linux interest group in Kuching city. After few discussions, we have conclude to called our group the Kuching Open Source Community or KOSC in short.
At the end of the month, we have sent out e-mails to our friends and those we know that interested with this to get their feedback on the establishment. We get warms feedback to set it up and with that, on the 9 March 2007 we call for our first meet up to discuss further about the KOSC. By the time, we have created an account at blogspot for our group which is still accessible at http://kuchingosc.blogspot.com/.
From there onwards, our community expanded from just few members to what we have now.
Kuching Open Source Community or also known as the "community" is a community-driven effort for sharing knowledge among its members and the public on open source software and the Linux operating system.
